Urotone tablet is used for the treatment of urinary retention (difficulty to pass urine) caused due to surgery or delivering a baby. It contains bethanechol as its active medicine that works by incre asing the tone of the bladder muscle and causing contraction of bladder muscle which helps to pass urine and cause relief of nonobstructive urinary retention. Nausea or vomiting, headache, dizziness, loose motion and stomach cramps are some of the side effects of using Urotone tablet. Most of these are temporary but if you feel the side effects persist or your condition worsens, you should contact your doctor immediately. Before starting this medicine, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history.
